So it turns out each chapter in DQ Builders is just a hard-reset. You have some recipes at the start but each chapter is literally a completely different save file entirely. Kind of didn't want to build the big room that chapter 2 asks you to early on so I just moved on to the game I was more interested in playing; DQ Monsters The Dark Prince. Game is good so far but it's also just a little jank in a lot of ways. Not so much in the actual mechanics so much as in, like. Everything else, including the story. Idk I think it kinda adds a bit of charm to the game. I've literally just unlocked fusion so it's pretty early days still. I remember not liking Joker 2 but that was a DS game that I remember running poorly and having enviornments that just felt empty, neither of which is an issue with TDP.
